    (2) Sands Casino, Las Vegas, White Ceramic Mugs, Purple Design, 1952-1988.  The mug pictured on the right has a darker color purple than the one on the left.  Also the one on the right has a light stain on the top of the handle, see photo.  I am down sizing my collection.  These come from a smoke and pet free home.
    Sands Casino originally opened in December of 1952.  Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin each performed for many years there and at one time owned a minor interest in the casino.  The casino sold in 1988 and became MGM Sands.  The logo slogan is "A Place in the Sun", thus the sun logo on many of their items.
